Track 1: Hematology

Hematology is the branch of medicine that deals with the study and treatment of blood. It is the study of cause, prognosis, treatment and prevention of diseases related to blood. Treatment of diseases that interrupt the production of blood and its components. Such as blood cells, haemoglobin, blood proteins, bone marrow, platelets, blood vessels, spleen and mechanism of coagulation. It also includes haemophilia, blood clots, other bleeding disorders and blood cancers such as leukemia, multiple myeloma and lymphoma. The hematology is practised by specialists in the field who deal with diagnosis, treatment and overall management of people with blood disorders ranging from anemia to blood cancer.

Diseases treated by haematologists are sickle cell anemia or trauma relate anemia. Polycythemia or excess production of red blood cells, myelofibrosis, Leukemia, multiple myeloma, malignant lymphomas, blood transfusion and bone marrow stem cell transplantation.

Track 2: Blood disorders

Blood disorders are of different types based on the conditions it varies. Some of the most common blood disorders include anemia, bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, blood clots and blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Bleeding disorders is a condition that results when the blood cannot clot properly. Anemia is the common blood disorder. It occurs when low red blood cells in the body. It occurs in the condition when red blood cells carry haemoglobin value less than 13.5 gm/dl in man or less than 12.0gm/dl in woman and for infants it varies with age. During anemia blood lacks oxygen.

Track 3: Blood cancers

The productions and function of blood cell can be affected in blood cancers. Blood cancer is a very important aspects of blood disorder research. Hence it needs to be cover in discussion of blood disorder conferences. Blood cancers mostly arise from the bone marrow where blood is produced. Three types of blood cell produce when stem cells in bone marrow mature. They are RBC, WBC and platelets. When the normal blood cell development process is interrupted by uncontrolled growth of an abnormal type of blood cell which results in blood cancer. These abnormal or cancerous cells prevent your blood from performing many of its functions, such as fighting off infections or preventing serious bleeding. Blood malignancies affect the performance and formation of blood cells. Leukemia is caused when there is rapid production of abnormal white blood cells. Lymphoma is caused when the abnormal lymphocytes become lymphoma cells. These cancerous cells impair the immune system. Myeloma is caused when there is a rapid production of abnormal plasma cells.

A blood transfusion is a routine medical process in which donated blood is provided to you through a narrow tube placed within a vein in your arm. It is a benign, lifesaving procedure. It is used to treat several medical conditions such as sickle cell anemia, iron deficiency anemia, childbirth, severe haemorrhage generally from surgery or a serious fate. What's more whole blood or blood components such as red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and clotting factors are castoff depending on the state of the patient. Due to this that high-end medical involvements, the demand for blood and blood components is increasing steadily all over the world. We may predict good scenarios for transfusion medicine specialists by the year 2025, at best in the developing countries. Transfusion medicine has sensible R&D approaches in Stem Cell Research.

Track 10: New drug development in hematology

The advancement of antibiotic resistance in particular stems from the drugs targeting only specific bacterial molecules. Because the drug is very specific, any mutation in these molecules will interfere with or negate its destructive effect which results in antibiotic resistance. This is known as drug delivery. Drug delivery conditions treated with combinations include leprosy, cancer, tuberculosis, malaria and HIV or AIDS. One major advantage of this combination therapies is that they reduce development of drug resistance. Since a tumour or pathogen is less likely to have resistance to multiple drugs simultaneously. The Artemisinin-based monotherapies for malaria are explicitly discouraged to avoid the problem of developing resistance to the newer treatment.

The hematology market growth is attributed to the increasing incidences of blood diseases and other disorders, rapid technological advances in hematology, and the emergence of high throughput hematology analysers. Blood disorders have become a global health issue with different causes and are also associated with high mortality. According to world health organisation, hemoglobin disorders are potentially affecting 75% of births, globally, and sickle cell trait affects an estimated one in 12 African Americans. Over 70% of all sickle-cell affected births occur in Africa. As per the WHO, the prevalence of anemia in children is 47.4% and 12.7% in men, and it is increasing rapidly all over the world.

Track 13: Blood disorders: Diagnosis and treatment

A physician generally goes for the complete blood count (CBC) for the principle detection of blood disorders. Complete blood count (CBC) is the basic test after that to diagnose person's blood disorder, the doctor usually must do further blood tests. Once a doctor or consultants finds something is wrong with the blood cell types, many additional tests are available for further detection of disease. Doctors can measure proportion of the different types of WBCs (white blood cells) and can also determine subtypes of these cells by assessing certain markers on the surface of the cells. Assessments are made to measure the capacity of WBC to fight foreign body or infection, to evaluate the functioning of blood platelets and their ability to clot and to check the contents of RBC to help to determine the cause of anemia or why the cells are not functioning properly.

Track 14: Digital imaging in hematology

Developments in electronic imaging, computers and the internets have given rise to in the speedy emergence of digital imaging in pathology. Bloodhound is an instrument that is designed to print blood onto a microscope slide with a controlled method. It automatically stains cells perform a complete blood count (CBC) with WBC differential and locate white blood cells by digital imaging, all in an analyser with footprint of 32 inches. Negligible hematology analyser plus blood smear digital imaging or analysis make better clinical hematology consequences than a compound hematology analyser. Digital imaging works routinely for peripheral fluids and other fluid is accurate, reliable and displays a high blast cell sensitivity.

Track 15: Stem cell therapy

Stem cell therapy deals with the use of stem cells to treat or prevent a condition or diseases. The most widely used stem cell therapy is bone marrow transplant, but some therapies derived from umbilical cord blood are also in use. It may be syngeneic, allogeneic or autologous. The stem cell research deals with the research and publication of high-quality manuscripts related to stem cells. The stem cells are cells of multicellular organisms that can differentiate into other types of cells. They can divide the more cells of same type of stem cells. A stem cell should be self-renewing and may be either pluripotent or totipotent. The different types of stem cells such as foetal, embryonic stem cell and adult stem cells, haemopoietic stem cells, cancer stem cells, tissue specific stem cells are known.

One of the three sources of blood forming cells used in transplant are cord blood transplant. Bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cells are the other two sources. The inoculation of umbilical cord blood to re-establish an individual own blood system blocked by radiation therapy, or both. The Human cryopreserved CD34+ cells from bone marrow, cord blood, and Mobilized blood. CD34+ cells differentiate into all other WBC. Their result are Cells, Media, Assays. The Cancers can be treated through Stem cell transplants, including peripheral blood, bone marrow, and cord blood transplants. In 1988 the first successful cord blood transplant (CBT) was done in a child with Fanconi Anemia. The idea of the learning is twofold unit umbilical cord blood transplantation in adults will be connected with a one-year endurance rate of at least 40%.
